Castle at the Attersee Klimt Framed Prints. In his early career Klimt’s favourite subject was the female body, however, in his later years, he moved more into landscapes. This magical artwork is a familiar scene to Klimt, a loved holiday destination, Attersee in Austria. The castle featured is called Schloss Kammer. During his stay on Lake Attersee, Klimt started his days early at six am with strolls in the woods, in fact, he spent so much time in the woods that the locals referred to him “Waldschrat” meaning woodland gnome.
