What printer and inks do you use?

These professional printers are paired with archival Canon LUCIA 12-colour pigment inks, a premium ink system designed to produce rich tonal depth, smooth gradients, and highly accurate colour reproduction, particularly in subtle shades and complex artwork. The 12-colour ink set allows for a much wider colour range than standard printing systems, helping us achieve deeper blacks, cleaner neutrals, and more natural transitions in everything from bold contemporary designs to delicate fine art prints. Just as importantly, these pigment-based inks are archival quality, meaning they are designed for long-term durability and excellent resistance to fading when properly displayed. We use one of the highest-quality professional printing systems available because it lets us produce artwork that looks impressive when you first receive it and keeps its depth, clarity, and colour integrity over time.

Am I able to come to your office to collect the artwork directly to save time and shipping
Absolutely, you are more than welcome to come to either of our facilities in Noosa, QLD, or Booragoo, Perth, WA. Please do, however, give us a call before coming so we can make sure someone is out front. We spend a lot of time out back around noisy machinery, so the front desk is not always manned.
Will I receive a proof for personalised art, and can I make changes
es — for all personalised artwork, we always send a digital proof before anything goes to print so you can see exactly how your design will look first. This gives you the chance to check wording, layout, colours, spelling, dates, locations or any other personal details before production begins. Proofs are usually sent within 48 hours of ordering, and very often much sooner, depending on the design and the time the order is placed. We know personalised artwork often carries important meaning, so we want customers to feel completely confident before the final print is produced. You are also very welcome to request changes once you receive the proof. In fact, we encourage it. If there is anything you would like adjusted, whether a small wording change or a more noticeable layout tweak, we encourage it. We continue refining the design until you are 100% happy with the result. Nothing is printed until you have approved the proof, which means you can order knowing there is still a chance to fine-tune the artwork before it is made.

More Information about the Artwork / Artist

Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent Willem van Gogh, who lived from 30 March 1853 to 29 July 1890, went on to become one of the most well-known and significant personalities in Western art history after his death. He produced around 2,100 pieces of art in a ten-year period, including about 860 oil paintings, the majority of which were produced in the final two years of his life. These works, which range from landscapes to still lifes to portraits and self-portraits, are distinguished by their use of vibrant colours and dramatic, spontaneous, and expressive brushstrokes, which helped lay the groundwork for modern art. He did not have commercial success in his career and suffered from acute despair and poverty, which ultimately caused him to commit suicide at the age of 37.

“The Starry Night” by Vincent van Gogh is one of the most iconic paintings in art history, depicting a swirling night sky over a quiet, sleepy town. Painted in 1889 while van Gogh was in the asylum at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, the piece captures the artist’s emotional turbulence and visionary imagination. The sky is alive with vivid, swirling patterns of stars and a glowing crescent moon, while the village below is calm and still, almost in contrast to the chaotic energy above. The towering cypress tree in the foreground creates a connection between the earth and the heavens, adding to the mystical quality of the painting.

Van Gogh’s use of bold brushstrokes and thick applications of paint—a technique known as impasto—gives the sky an almost tangible texture. His swirling lines and vibrant colour palette, dominated by deep blues, yellows, and whites, create a sense of movement and emotion, making the sky appear to pulsate with energy. The composition of “The Starry Night” is unique, as the flowing forms of the sky seem to overtake the structured geometry of the village, emphasising van Gogh’s focus on the emotional experience of the scene rather than strict realism.

What makes “Starry Night” so captivating is the deep sense of contrast and duality it evokes. The calm, ordered village contrasts with the swirling, chaotic sky, representing the balance between tranquility and inner turmoil, a reflection of van Gogh’s own mental struggles at the time. The painting can be interpreted as both a symbol of hope and wonder—capturing the beauty and vastness of the universe—and a depiction of emotional unrest, with the swirling stars reflecting the turbulence within the artist’s mind. This duality is what makes the painting resonate on such a deep, emotional level with viewers.

Vincent van Gogh, although not widely appreciated during his lifetime, is now regarded as one of the most influential figures in Western art. His expressive brushwork, vibrant use of color, and deeply personal style have inspired generations of artists. “The Starry Night” is one of van Gogh’s most famous works and represents his ability to convey raw emotion through his art. Despite his struggles with mental illness, his paintings radiate passion, intensity, and an almost spiritual connection to the world around him. Van Gogh’s legacy as a visionary artist continues to influence the world of art, and “The Starry Night” remains a symbol of both his genius and his inner battles.
