1. Does the map come with a corkboard?
No, we do not use a corkboard. We use a custom canvas-based method specifically designed for pushpin maps, which keeps pins perfectly supported without crumbling or degrading over time. We specialise exclusively in pushpin maps and have been producing them this way for many years.
2. Does the framed print come with acrylic?
No, we do not place acrylic or glass over framed pushpin maps. An acrylic cover would prevent pins from being inserted, so our framed pushpin maps are intentionally left open to allow full functionality.
3. Does the framed print come with a matte?
Yes, a matte is available as an optional upgrade. However, we generally do not recommend mattes for pushpin maps, as they can warp slightly over time due to exposure to air. Instead, we recommend choosing a 20mm printed border, which provides a clean, long-lasting finish without affecting pin usability.
4. Do you send a proof before printing?
Yes, we always send a proof before printing. You’ll receive a digital proof within 48 hours (usually much sooner), including a couple of close-up images so you can clearly see the map details before approving it.
5. Can I request changes to my map design?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to request changes to your design, and we’ll happily make adjustments until you are 100% happy with the final result before printing.
6. How do I personalise the map?
Personalisation is simple. You can include names, titles, dates, colours, and other details, which you can add in the notes section when ordering. If you have something more detailed in mind, you’re also welcome to send us instructions after checkout.
7. What size pins can be used with this map?
Standard pushpins work perfectly with our maps. Each order includes 100 pins. You can choose the colour when ordering, and you’re also welcome to select extras at checkout. The canvas construction is specifically designed to support pins securely without tearing or sagging, even with repeated use.
8. Is the map suitable for long-term pin use?
Yes. Our pushpin maps are designed for ongoing, long-term use, whether you’re tracking travels over many years or frequently updating locations. The materials are chosen to maintain structure and appearance over time.
9. What print formats are available?
This design is available as a stretched canvas print, framed print, floating frame, or rolled canvas, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your space and how you plan to use the map.
