Liberty Leading The People Classic Prints. This masterpiece was painted by Eugène Delacroix in 1830 to commemorate the July revolution of the same year. The revolution toppled King Charles X of France. The woman featured on top of the barricade is the Goddess of Liberty. The Goddess of Liberty is depicted crossing the fallen bodies with the Tricolour. This painting after many different homes hangs now in the Louvre-Lens in Lens, Pas-de-Calais.
